Tracking Your Social Media Marketing
Need not be a chore, if setup correctly
No matter how difficult you think it may be to set up conversion tracking it is important for analysing your campaigns for success.
The time is running out for social media managers who do not optimise and analyse their campaigns for return on investment.
Each platform and campaign should ideally lead to a different landing page; this combined with call tracking will give you the most accurate figures to make informed decisions.
I would also recommend you use call tracking so you can navigate your way through the platforms to understand which are generating you the most profit after your investment.
If this is not possible then you should use different links which can be monitored for clicks, these can be setup quite simply by your social media manager and should be different for each platform or campaign depending on resources.
If you use HootSuite your links will automatically be setup within the dashboard. This will enable you to learn which content was most popular and which call to actions generated you the most results. Of course this will help you moving forwards to created and grow your reach and return.
